Who We Are- What Happened at the Garden of Eden?

Who we Are? 

 
I believe you have read the part 1 of who We are.. and there would be many questions that would have swept your mind. You would say Yes, I am Righteous but still feel a part of you is Unworthy? or When God wanted us to be so Blessed and in-line with His authorities – why still we fail to live a Victorious life? Today we are going to explore some highlights that would renew your mind with better understanding of the kingdom of God.

What Happened at the Garden of Eden?

As we all know we were made as a Spirit Being –

Genesis 1:26a And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

When God made Man he made him in His likeness – with Scripture John 4:24 we understand that  God is a spirit and He made Man in His image - So now Man understands the things of the Spirit, talks to God in Spirit, walks, talks, and thinks in Spirit.

It is Obedience of God’s Word - the key principle thing to live a victorious life. But  God gave the choice to man to think and decide what he wants to do with the Words of God- whether to receive it or overrule it. Why Obedience has become a Key Principle? Ponder- Would need your answers in this. And we will speak about it tomorrow.

At the garden Man was given the following directives from God:

1.    To till the Ground – Genesis 2: 15
2.   Not to eat from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil – Genesis 2:17
3.    It was not better for man to be alone – Genesis 2:18
4.   Name the other creatures - Genesis 2:19
5.   To have dominion over all – Genesis 1:26

2    In all this if we see God’s focus was mainly to deal with Man’s loneliness and that’s the reason he created the Woman.Woman its important your presence in your Man’s life complete Him whether they say it or they don’t – it is a responsibility which God knows and hence, created you.

But at the Garden we see Adam and Eve were not together (may be having SPACE to be oneself / arguments) and that was the moment Satan spoke to Eve.

We see here, because failing in one Principle all the other statements of God were overruled. 

ALSO, know that even when you are in the Spirit centric atmosphere there would be times when Satan can intervene. Why? Because Lucifer is also created a Spirit being. He has an access. That’s what happened at Garden of Eden. But this would only happen if you create a breach for him to enter in. 

Genesis 3:1- 5 A little drift in Focus challenged Eve to forego the other instruction of God. Her Focus was now on Satan and words he spoke.

·       Did God say that you shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And Eve to this replied Not every tree but the one at the center of the Garden – God said not to Eat, neither you shall Touch or you would die…

My Question here What Did God say to Adam ( Adam & Eve) at Gen 2: 17 – God did not mention anything about touching the Tree or Fruit. Much talking to wrong people make us speak unwanted undesired things. Satan understood that now she is aligned with him so he continued creating doubts.

·  Now Serpent says Oh you will not Die, but your eyes will be made open. And you shall be like gods. My Question did Serpent Lie? Was it not how exactly what happened after?

  

·       Woman went for the words of the serpent and she started analyzing the Fruit- How beautiful it is – it can make one wise so she ate and gave to her husband aswell.

My Question here Was Adam not wise? They named all creatures after all. Now they did have dominion over all things – so were they not gods themselves. But what was that one thing that Eve wanted to become- she wanted to become equivalent with God. This is again questionable – God made them in his image – What was it that devoured the mind of Eve.

She did not Meditate on the Words of God. That's why she could not understand the lie of Satan. To understand the words of God and to understand the heart of God, it is important to focus your mind on the WORDS of God. This is the reason Bible says in :

Proverbs 4:20-21 My Son pay attention to my words; incline your ears to my sayings. Do not lose sight of them; keep them within your hearts.

So in order to understand your identity your Sight should be the Word of God. You must invest your time in reading Bible so that it itself reveals you His thoughts about you and you can stand victorious in all spans of life.
